Listening to murmurs for ancestral healing

It is common in dreams to see our departed ancestors, but what is the significance? Sometimes it’s a check-in, a hello, I’m okay. Sometimes they may have more important business on their agenda. That’s where ancestral healing comes into play.

Recently, many people have been called to participate in ancestral healing on a personal level or in a community. Usually, it is both because we are all part of the whole. Therefore, what affects me will affect all. Call it the Butterfly Effect or the Ripple Effect, it is more evident every day. How can we use this amazing energy to heal some of the trauma in this world? Closer to home, how can we heal within our own families? There is much we can do with a little help from our ancestors.

I’m trying to be more mindful about sharing positive energy in these interesting times. To get going I’ll be posting a word of the day to keep my momentum. The first six words I will be using in a poem, a sestina, but that’s a story for another day. Here we go!

Most people read the word murmur and they instantly envision a soft, indistinct sound made by a person or group of people speaking quietly or at a distance.

When seekers see the word murmur they frequently think of possible communication with an ancestor.

However, many seekers may also think a murmur may be too soft to hear clearly.

However, when I read the word murmur, I picture our ancestors whispering advice to us.
