Cooperation between government and industry is key to positive change

In a world where we are bombarded daily with news that seems to be more and more negative, it’s tempting to feel powerless. As a whole society, it feels like there is not much to be done about global problems like climate change and economic corruption. But positive change takes individuals who are willing to venture forward with new ideas and see them through to execution.

At Energi Mine, we believe that it takes forward-thinking individuals to make the big differences we want to see come to fruition. The CEO of Energi Mine, Omar Rahim, met on July 18, 2018, with the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, Jeremy Wright, MP. This meeting is just one example of progressively-minded individuals cooperatively attacking a problem. Through the leadership of Omar Rahim, Energi Mine strives to work closely with governing powers to bring about positive change that can benefit society as a whole.

This requires open-mindedness and cooperation from the government, as displayed through the listening ear of the honourable MP, Jeremy Wright. It begins with a willingness to listen to new ideas and solutions to old problems, once daunting, but now solvable by means of new technology and the dedicated efforts of passionate individuals. As Energi Mine continues to grow, we strive to make more connections with governing agencies that can take advantage of our EnergiToken program to motivate positive change.

Through the EnergiToken program, residents can be encouraged to change their energy-consuming behaviour with the natural motivation provided through token rewards. These token rewards (ETK) can be delivered to participating users to then spend on energy and energy-conserving equipment from cooperating partners, whether the partners be private companies who manufacture solar energy equipment, for example, or governing agencies who may award tokens to citizens for energy-saving behaviour such as electric vehicle purchases or mass transportation usage.

To truly have a great impact, this takes a collective effort, but it all begins with individuals on the frontlines initiating these changes. With figures like MP Jeremy Wright willing to listen and hopefully cooperate with facilitating Energi Mine’s vision, we could see the beginning of a transformation in the way our society generates and consumes energy.
