If we really care about women’s we need to speak up,wake up,rise and demand rights….Rape is the forth most common crime against women in india….People say India is unsafe and nothing is wrong in saying that.. According to 2018 crime reports,, 33356 rape cases are reported across the country…With an estimate 91 cases per day…..I guess nothing changed after the NIRBHYA CASE ….19 year old girl Manisha Valmiki was gang raped by four men…Tongue cut,spinal cord broken….For the Last 4 weeks she was struggling between death and life…No serious actions were taken up by the government…Justice for Manisha is needed.. Do you really think it is easy for her family..no not at all…You save yourself or you remain unsaved.We need justice for every single harassment faced by girls and women..India is not just only a country of men..I will get right to the point. Rape is not supposed to be an everyday event. It is not supposed to be so common that our minds are subconsciously trained to expect it when a woman is alone on the road. Going to Mars is not an achievement when a girl can’t even walk across the road to buy a packet of biscuits without her mother getting worried.Rape is a message from patriarchy and it is terrible when it happens in a marriage. Most men in India do not understand the concept of marital rape.Don’t tell your girls to dress properly,tell your boys to behave properly!

Three years after a horrific gang rape in Delhi brought global attention to India’s sexual assault epidemic, a new documentary has quoted one of the rapists saying something so inflammatory that it has provoked a whole new wave of outrage.India’s traditionalists tend to view rape as a matter of collective honor and morality. To them, decisions about women’s sexual relationships are to be made by parents, when they select their daughters’ husbands, and then by husbands after marriage. A woman’s only legitimate sexual decision, then, is to obey her family.

“A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy,” Mukesh Singh, one of the six rapists convicted in the 2012 attack, says in the documentary, because “a decent girl won’t roam around at 9 o’clock at night.”

“Housework and housekeeping is for girls,” he claimed, “not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things, wearing wrong clothes. About 20 percent of girls are good.”

If women are not “good,” he said, men have a right to “teach them a lesson” by raping them. And if that happens, the woman being raped has a responsibility to silently accept the assault. “When being raped, she shouldn’t fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape.”
