MY JOURNEY SO FAR IN GIRLSCODING.

My name is James Tomisin, i am 15 years old, i attend herbert macauly girls senior high school, i am currently in ss1 around 2017/2018 session. I am so glad! about writing my story in medium.com. My journey so far in girlscoding before i begin, i want to give my first regard to Mrs Abisoye Ajayi Akinfolarin and give her a very big thank you, if it not her i will not be in girlscoding today and i will not no how to program and build my low-self esteem now am very confident in my self no matter the situation am in. What mrs Abisoye based on for young girls are NO POVERTY, GENDER EQUALITY, QUALITY EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT HANDS, DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH and when girls learn how to code the world would run without bug.

I started coming to girlscoding around 3 year’s now and i found it so much fun now when i first started i don’t understand any lines of code because i don’t no what it is performing when my teacher at girlscoding is explaining to me i found it very interesting and easy to type a code. I started my first project around 2 years ago i build a website about problems environmental sanitation in makoko giving solution to it. The language have learn so far in girlscoding are (Html, Css, Javascript) and i have also learn some microsoft packaging like(Power point, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel)and girlscoding is a great impact in my life socially, academically, mentally and physically. I want to give a thanks my teacher’s for teaching how to code (Miss Vanessa,Miss Izioma, Miss Aduke, Miss Gabriela, Mr Daniel, Mr peter, Miss Stella and so on) and also thanks my mentors.

What i hope to achieve in the next two month is building a complex and responsive website that will solve problem that we are facing in my community, and build a blog that people can learn from.
